100 Years of Alpha Celebration

In May of 2025, Alpha came together for our Annual Conference; however, this year was special as we celebrated 100 years of Ministry! The Alpha Family from all over our Conference gathered in Greenville, AL, to reflect on all the Lord has done and to cast vision for all the Lord is going to do! It was a time of remembering and honoring those who built the foundations of the Alpha Conference that we love so much, but also a time of pure joy as we looked at what is to come.

We started our time together on Thursday with a Night of Prayer and Praise! It was a time full of united worship, impactful prayers, and powerful prophecies. The Lord’s Presence met us that night, and we look forward with excitement to the future of our Conference! We were reminded that the Lord has been with us in the past, and He will continue to be with us in the future.

Bishop Doug Beacham was our presiding Bishop, he did an excellent job in overseeing all of conference business, but also in delivering a Powerful message about how the Lord speaks Good Words over us, His children. We are so thankful for Bishop Doug and the way he leads our denomination with wisdom and grace.

During the Friday night service, we played a video showcasing photos from the early days of Alpha as well as photos taken over the years. Pictures from Alpha’s past played on the screens of LifeChange Church. Photos of saints filled the room, the love of Jesus Christ evident in their faces.

Building Foundations, worshipping in tiny rooms, playing the guitar by the lake, eating together, laughing at retreats, smiling in front of freshly painted church signs, baptisms in the creek, tears cried in intercession, prophecies left unheard behind the camera’s lens.

Picture after picture played of people long gone, yet the seeds that they sowed have long since peeped their green heads through the dirt. As we watched Alpha through the years, each of us were reminded of one thing: God is Faithful and His love endures through generations.

We were able to estimate that from 1925 to 2025, The Alpha Conference has witnessed 45,279 Saved, 11,283 Reclaimed, 12,667 Baptized, 9,234 Filled with the Holy Spirit, and 9,697 Sanctified!  When these numbers played at the end of our video, the sanctuary erupted into cheers! People stood from their seats, eyes filled with tears of joy as they were reminded of the Goodness of our God.

God is Faithful! Be encouraged Alpha Family! Here’s to another 100 Years, may we see these numbers multiplied beyond anything we could ever imagine!
